How many public schools do we serve?We've developed partnerships with two public school districts: 1) Providence, RI 2) Lowell, MA. Across these two districts, 36,000 high school students attend, 75% of whom are from low-income backgrounds.

Who are our tutors?Our tutors are largely recent college graduates from some of the top colleges and universities in the world. Tutors go through extensive training prior to being paired with students and are required to undergo a background check and other screening processes.

How many times a week do tutors meet with students?Our tutoring model is entirely student-driven and tutors meet with students on a schedule determined by the student. This model allows students to receive the level of support they deem necessary given where they are in their college application process.

Do tutors write college essays for the students?No. Tutors only provide constructive feedback on the structure of the essay and help students refine the stories they want to write about.

What is Connect's goal?Our goal is to help students tell their story to college admissions in the most effective way possible, and in doing so, attend the college that is the best fit.

How do we know if we've made an impact?We take extensive measures to collect feedback from students and tutors throughout the entire tutoring process to gauge week-to-week progress and student satisfaction.
